Contest Rules and Bushman Prize Policy |

|
1.) Contest begins on Friday, June 1, 2012 and ends at midnight on Tuesday, July 31, 2012. Winners will be announced and prizes awarded at 8pm on the main stage of the Bean Blossom Blues Fest on Saturday night, August 25, 2012. Also winners will be announced and listed here on this website on Monday, August 27, 2012. |

2.) Any brand of ukulele can be used - it does not have to be a Bushman. |

3.) All entries must be made specifically for this contest, and contestants must introduce themselves and make a reference to the Bushman World Ukulele Video Contest at the beginning of their video. |

4.) Contestants can submit up to 3 entries. Entries can come from individuals, groups, or clubs. In the case of groups and clubs, they will have to share the prize if they win - only one prize will be awarded per winning club or group. Any HUMAN, living anywhere in the world, is invited to enter. Bushman will pay all shipping costs for the prizes to be sent anywhere in the world. The Prizes will be marked "Gift" to help prevent customs and duty fees. |

5.) Entries will be made by Emailing Us a link pointing to the location where the video being entered is stored. Videos must be stored at YouTube.com. An example of a link is http://youtube.com/watch?v=U-lt3vVA-4I |

6.) All qualifying entries can be seen by clicking the "2012 Entries" links above. Posted entries will include the date the entry was submitted and the name of the contestant who submitted it. |

7.) Prize Policy - Prizes will be awarded at the time of announcement of winners. The first 5 winners will be notified of their win on Monday, Auugust 20, 2012 and they will given 2 VIP Tickets to the Bean Blossom Blues Fest. Winners are not required to attend the festival in order to receive their prizes. All prizes not claimed at the festival will be shipped to the winners the following week. All prizes will be awarded or shipped right away. There will never be delays in prize delivery. Although the winners will be notified of their win before the fest, they will be asked to keep their win secret until it is publicly announced at the fest. |

Voting Procedures |

|
Entries will not be judged by Bushman Music Works personnel. We will begin accepting votes at 12:01am on Wednesday, August 1, 2012, and we’ll continue accepting votes until midnight Sunday, August 19, 2012. Voters will come from the following groups: A.) Bushman Music Forum Members – see our forums, B.) Anyone who submits an entry into the contest may vote, C.) All customers of Bushman Music Works, and finally, D.) Anyone who signs up to receive our free Bushman Music Works Ukulele Newsletter by filling out our newsletter form here, may vote. If you fall into any of these categories, you may email us your votes. Voters should judge the videos on the following criteria: entertainment value, technical ability, and creative video presentation. In the past, when Bushman personnel judged the contest, "Entertainment Value" was the most heavily weighted factor. With each video we judged the first question we asked ourselves was, "Would we go out of our way to watch the video again?" Skilled players could win, but they couldn’t beat skilled players who were also creative entertainers. Ten "Honorable Mentions" will be awarded to contestants who show outstanding enthusiasm for the ukulele. All legitimate votes will include the voter's top 3 favorites, in order; this prevents contestants from just getting their friends and family to mass email us with votes for their video. By having to vote for the top 3, it forces the voter to watch a lot of videos, and it lets us know if their votes are honest and credible. |
