Bushman Rockabilly Ukulele

Starting at: $479.00

Styled with F holes in the soundboard, and strings that are anchored in a handmade Rosewood tailpiece, our Rockabilly is reminiscent of the legendary rock guitars from the 1950s and the music that those guitars made! But the Rockabilly is also a genuine archtop and archback jazz ukulele. Jazz and Rockabilly musicians love it's tone, but it sounds great playing any genre of music. Made out of solid wood, not laminated, so the volume and tone are optimized. This is an electric ukulele - it comes with our own Bushman Rockabilly Pick-up - the most aggressive, loud, durable, dependable pick-up we've ever tried or used - no battery or power supply required. Super Nylgut strings made for us by Aquila. Genuine Bushman Black-n-Golds tuning machines (see pic at bottom of page). To order, make body and color choices at the bottom of this page.

Body Styles: Regular or CutAway

Colors: Midnight Blue Burst, Burnt Orange Burst, or Natural

Size: Tenor only

You can chose to have us set your Rockabilly up with a Low G string instead of the industry standard re-entrant tuning that calls for a high G string. Just type "Low G" in the note box when ordering. The low G setup provides more range for picking out runs and melodies, and it is more familiar to guitar players crossing over to ukuleles. Ukulele players like the high G tuning for it's "happy" sound; so it just comes down to personal preference.

We want to acknowledge the extremely talented luthier who built the amazing Jazz Ukulele that made us want to come out with the Rockabilly - Stefan Sonntag To us, Stefan is the originator of this style of ukulele.
